Join us on September 23, 2017 at the Westin Mission Hills Resort in Rancho Mirage! Each year, the United Way of the Desert hosts Nine Weekly Walks leading up to the 32nd Annual Palm Springs Aerial Tram Road Challenge 6K Run/Walk. These Nine Weekly Walks are free to the community and are held on Saturday mornings at 7:00 AM. Each walk takes place in one of the nine valley cities. Martha’s Village and Kitchen is the beneficiary of the walk in the city of Rancho Mirage. Please bring infant supplies including diapers in all sizes and baby formula.
The weekly walks help to encourage people to engage in their communities. Beneficiaries of the walks include Boys and Girls Clubs in Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City and Coachella, the F.I.N.D. food bank, Catholic Charities, Martha’s Village, Desert Arc and Family YMCA of the Desert.
Participating in these walks is a great way to get in shape for our 11th Annual Thanksgiving Day 5K! The event will be held on Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2017, in the beautiful city of Palm Desert, on El Paseo. Register HERE! Don’t forget to purchase Thanksgiving themed merchandise, and to sign up to help raise additional funds for those in need right here in the Coachella Valley.
