“When I was a resident at Martha’s, I started classes like Challenge to Change and the class helped me see the glass as overflowing instead of half empty. During this time, my son was placed back with me and my case was closed.” – Tiffany

The Career & Education Center is open Monday through Friday at our main campus and offers an array of services: a computer lab for training and research; telephones; and reading materials.  Employment leads and housing opportunities are posted.

Additional Employment services are offered through our 2 satellite offices in Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs.   Hours vary depending on location, please see “Contact Us” page for updated dates and times.

Residents and members of the community receive help obtaining a California driver’s license, California identification cards, birth certificates and bus passes. A job developer/career counselor assists the client in obtaining employment. Notary services, tuition, books, uniforms and other work or school-related supplies are available on a case-by-case basis.

Challenge to Change

This one-week course which provides experiential exercises and lecture presentations on subjects related to enhancing self-esteem, increasing motivation and setting realistic goals. This class is a favorite among clients; because it allows them understand that the possibilities of the future begin with them.

Recovery Services

This program addresses substance addictions through individual counseling, education, process groups, and referrals to collaborative partners for in-patient treatment.
