How Cash Contributions Supports Martha’s
Martha’s Village and Kitchen is one of the largest providers of homeless services in the Coachella Valley and Riverside County. Our facility offers transitional housing for 120 residents with 96 beds reserved for families with children and 24 beds for single men and women. Residents stay in this temporary housing environment anywhere from two weeks to two years and allows them to focus on learning new skills, finding employment and the means to be self-sufficient. Client services also offered onsite include food services, certified childcare, career and education services, individualized case management, emergency services, healthcare, and much more.
Last year, Martha’s was able to house 383 residents and serve 270,000 meals to residents as well as community neighbors in need of a nutritional meal. Of the clients who moved out of transitional housing, 92% moved into permanent housing. For the past 25 years, Martha’s has been able to respond to those in need with the basic life necessities such as shelter, food and clothing. The life-changing programs offered at Martha’s has transformed the lives of countless families and individuals and has made a huge impact in the homeless population of the Coachella Valley. Cash contributions and cash donations from events, such as the Boo-tox Party, are some of the best ways to support the mission of Martha’s. Cash donations allow us the flexibility to use the funds for programs or areas that need it the most at any given time. Much of our success would not be possible without the generosity of donors and the wonderful partnerships we have made in the community.
Clear your calendars, Thursday October 29th is the day to get in the Halloween spirit and get skin care and beauty enhancement services at an unbeatable value.
