With the tax deadline fast approaching, Martha’s Village and Kitchen is sincerely grateful to have had a team of dedicated and talented volunteers helping the community file their taxes for FREE this tax season. With the April 18 deadline right around the corner, this weekend is the last weekend to take advantage of these free, professional services!
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is a free tax preparation program that helps low to moderate income filers. During the tax season, VITA offers free income tax assistance at various sites across Riverside County, staffed by IRS certified volunteers. If you earned less than $60,000 in 2016, you qualify to utilize this valuable resource!
Certified volunteers will be on site at Martha’s Village and Kitchen this Friday, March 14, from 4 PM to 7 PM and Saturday, March 15, from 9 AM to 1 PM. It is highly recommended that taxpayers schedule an appointment by calling 916-764-6575.
