Find out how to help our neighbors in need! At Martha’s Village and Kitchen, we encourage youth in the community to get involved. We understand time can be an issue for parents to accompany their children to volunteer so we have fun ways kids/teens can get involved while at school.
Buckets For Change
Join your school to fill a jar with coins to help change lives. Ask for help and challenge others to do the same so you can reach your fundraising goals. Announce your fundraiser totals at a school assembly, community event, or at a special presentation at Martha’s Village and Kitchen.
Donation Drives
You can make a difference and help those in need by donating or hosting a donation drive. Drives include collecting items such as clothing, blankets, pillows, sheets, shoes, food, and other necessities for our neighbors in need.
Participate in An Event
Host an event to help raise money for Martha’s Village and Kitchen and our neighbors in need. Be creative with fun ideas like a bake sale, lemonade stand, yard sale, car wash, or talent show. There is no limit to the great things that you can do.
Start a Club
Neighbors helping neighbors at your school. Collect donations to help others in our local community by working to have a Martha’s Village and Kitchen Club at your school. Together we are changing lives!
Online Fundraising
Start a page to celebrate birthdays, milestones, or special events in lieu of gifts. Set a goal and ask family and friends to help you reach your goal. Get started today by Creating A Page Online.
Volunteering
Give the gift of your time by helping at MVK or with one of our special events throughout the year. Help in our kitchen, Thrift Store, Food Pantry, or with projects around the village. To learn more about volunteering call 760-347-4741 ext 128 or email volunteer@marthasvillage.org.
There are so many possibilities on how schools in our community can help our neighbors in need. Another perk of hosting an event to benefit Martha’s Village and Kitchen is getting volunteer hours for the time you invest. Getting involved in your community looks good on college applications as well.
