Call today to schedule your free pick-up! It is easy and you will receive your tax- deductible receipt right then and there. Are you moving or remodeling? Don’t know what to do with your stuff, consider donating it, and let us do all the heavy lifting.
2. MVK Offers Clothing Vouchers To Those In Need
Can you imagine not having a fresh change of clothes to change into after a long day? We offer a change of clothes, shoes, a belt, and undergarments to those in the community that are homeless. We also offer clothing vouchers to men, women, and children that may have had to leave all their belongings behind due to extenuating circumstances. This service has helped many in need and would not be possible without the generosity of those in the community that donates their belongings.
3. Your Donations Help MVK Clients Directly
Many of the items that are donated to the MVK Thrift Store are used and needed in the “Village”. Blankets, sheets, pillows, and towels are constantly needed by the men, women, and children that are staying at Martha’s Village & Kitchen. Clients are encouraged to go to the MVK Thrift Store to get clothing for job interviews and once employment is obtained we also assist them with clothing for their job. Your donations have also helped the clients with household items and have furnished the homes of many residents as they leave the housing program successfully.
4. Your Donations Help Fund Much Needed Programs and Services
Purchases made at MVK’s Thrift Store help fund the many programs at the “Village”. Because of community donations and the Thrift Store purchases, we have been able to provide those in need with food, clothing, shelter, and education. MVK also helps many people remained housed with the various programs like our emergency food program, and children’s services just to name a few.
