The Fortem Financial 16th Annual Thanksgiving Day 5K Benefiting Martha’s Village & Kitchen presented by KESQ News Channel 3 is an annual, family-friendly, run/walk fundraiser in Palm Desert, CA. The goal of the 5K is to raise awareness about Martha’s Village & Kitchen’s services and to provide funds to support our mission to end hunger and homelessness in the Coachella Valley. Over 4,000 people attend the event including participants, spectators, and volunteers.
5K IN-PERSON Run/Walk
$35 - $45
Features exhibitor booths, a photo station, and a doggie refreshment station.
Features complimentary face painting, temporary tattoos, arts and crafts, limbo, and hula hooping.
Participants age 21 and above can enjoy a refreshing cold beer from a local brewery.

The Thanksgiving Day 5K is held on Thanksgiving Morning each year on El Paseo in Palm Desert. You can choose to do the 5K in person or virtually this year.
Registration for Adults is $45 and for Children (under 7 and younger) is $35.
Online registration is strongly recommended. In-Person Registration can also be completed at either of the two pre-event registration/packet pickup days, November 22nd or 23rd, 11 am to 6:30 pm, 2022. Location TBD. In-Person Registration/Packet Pickup Dates will be Monday, Nov. 22nd and Wed., Nov. 23rd (Location: TBD)
Pick up your essential race gear on the packet pick-up days at Palm Desert Community Center lobby at Civic Center Park: 43900 San Pablo Ave, Palm Desert, CA 92260.

Yes, however, it MUST BE RECEIVED at Martha’s Village no later than Friday, November 12, 2021. Please make a check payable to “Martha’s Village & Kitchen” and include on a separate piece of paper the information for each person you’re registering: the first and last name, email address, phone number, and desired shirt size.
During packet pickup days, there may be additional shirts available for purchase.
The event will start at 8:00 am. Updates will be sent out if anything changes with the time.
This year the event will be untimed. We will have awards to encourage participation and fundraising, stay tuned!
Fundraising is highly encouraged and deeply appreciated but not mandatory. All donations support programs and services that help impoverished and homeless individuals and families in the Coachella Valley.
Martha’s Village & Kitchen is a 501(c)3 supported with donations, like those raised in this event. We will not issue refunds due to the nature of this fundraising event. Thank you for your generous support!
All funds raised during this event, go to support Martha’s Village & Kitchen’s programs and services that help impoverished and homeless individuals and families in the Coachella Valley. 100% stays in the Coachella Valley.
