The Emergency Assistance program provides a wide variety of assistance to 35,000 neighbors in need in the community each year. Services include food distribution, baby items, medical travel vouchers, clothing vouchers, rental and utility assistance as well as shelter referrals. To address barriers to success, case managers make referrals as appropriate to additional services within the Village or the outside community. This program has incurred a 101% increase over the last year due to the economic downturn.
