Children’s Services is dedicated to the ongoing development of the children of Martha’s Village & Kitchen. Its goal is to change the lives of children one child at a time through education, activities with parents and play time. Parents also benefit from the program because they know their children are in a safe and nurturing environment, thus enabling them to focus on the tasks of rebuilding their lives.
Our Children’s Services Department
- Is licensed by the state to care for children ranging in ages from birth to 17-years-old.
- Follows the Creative Curriculum for children birth to 5-years-old, which allows children the freedom to learn at their own pace while promoting social and emotional development.
- Offers various activities for school-age children including homework help.
- Promotes character development with the Character Counts curriculum.
- Strengthens family bonds by encouraging parents to spend quality time with their children in family activities such as reading and preparing family dinners.
MISSION:
Our mission is to improve the social, emotional, and physical health and well-being of children and to prepare them for school success by offering safe, creative, age-appropriate and challenging activities through our child development center and after-school programs and by partnering with parents to build strong, self-reliant family units. |
